Matt Ozzanne went 1-3, helping the Cowlitz Black Bears (16-19) to a 2-1 victory over the Walla Walla Sweets (14-21) on Tuesday at Borleske Stadium.
He doubled in the fourth inning.Koby Gauna picked up the win for the Cowlitz Black Bears. Gauna pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out two.
A bright spot for the Walla Walla Sweets in the defeat was Hunter Virant, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.
Virant ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
