The Klamath Falls Gems (8-18) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Kitsap BlueJackets (9-26), recording a 10-3 victory on Saturday at Kitsap Fairgrounds .

The game was decided quickly as the Klamath Falls Gems exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.

A two-run single by Kevin Davidson and a two-run single by Joshua Wong in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Greg Velazquez during the second inning fueled the Klamath Falls Gems' offense early.

Austin Byler went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Klamath Falls Gems. He singled in the first and sixth innings and tripled in the ninth inning.

Jerad Casper had a hot bat for the Kitsap BlueJackets. Casper went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Christian Coronado improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Klamath Falls Gems. He allowed three runs over six innings. Coronado struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

Mitch Bluman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
