Ben Swinford went 2-5, helping the Cowlitz Black Bears (12-14) to a 5-1 victory over the Bellingham Bells (18-10) on Friday at Joe Martin Field.
He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.Mikey Murray struck out five hitters en route to the the Cowlitz Black Bears win. Murray allowed one earned run on six hits and no walks over six innings.
Jared Fisher couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Bellingham Bells, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
