A walk-off single from Allen Hewey brought home the winning run for the Kitsap BlueJackets (9-23) in a 2-1 victory over the Cowlitz Black Bears (10-14) at Kitsap Fairgrounds on Wednesday.

Hewey led the Kitsap BlueJackets' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth innings.

The Kitsap BlueJackets were led by Tyler Baumgartner's hitting. Baumgartner went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Stuart Fewel pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out two.

Colin Feldtman got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Koby Gauna couldn't get it done on the mound for the Cowlitz Black Bears, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
