The Kitsap BlueJackets fight back, defeat the Corvallis Knights, 5-4

The Kitsap BlueJackets (8-22) trailed by three in the seventh, but the Kitsap BlueJackets recovered thanks to a key wild pitch in the eighth inning from Brian Olson to pull out a 5-4 win over the Corvallis Knights (18-7) at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field on Monday.

With the score tied at four, grounded out, scoring Rhys Hoskins.

Jerad Casper had two extra-base hits for the Kitsap BlueJackets. He tripled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

The Corvallis Knights had no answer for Barry Timko, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Corvallis Knights managed just one hit off of Timko, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Austin Barr got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Taylor Starr (0-1) took the loss for the Corvallis Knights. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.

The Kitsap BlueJackets were sparked by Frankie Torres and Casper, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
