Greg Mahle drove in the winning run to give the Corvallis Knights (18-6) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Corvallis Knights hung on to beat the Kitsap BlueJackets (7-22) 8-3 on Sunday.
Austin Hamilton to start the sixth. He then went from second to third on a groundout by Nate Blackham. Finally, Mahle came to the plate with the score tied at one in the sixth inning, and, plating Hamilton.The Corvallis Knights were led by Connor Hofmann's hitting. Hofmann went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Dylan Stuart picked up the win for the Corvallis Knights. Stuart pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out three.
Nolan Amundson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Kitsap BlueJackets, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
