A passed ball, plating Jonathan Munoz gave the Klamath Falls Gems (5-18) the lead in the sixth inning, and the Klamath Falls Gems hung on to beat the Kelowna Falcons (13-7) 7-2 on Saturday.
Jake Whisler racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Klamath Falls Gems. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Bryan Clough put together a nice outing. The Kelowna Falcons managed just one hit off of Clough, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Cale Coshow was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
