A walk-off single from Caleb Whalen brought home the winning run for the Corvallis Knights (16-5) in a 3-2 victory over the Bellingham Bells (13-7) in 10 innings at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field on Thursday.

Whalen racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Corvallis Knights. He doubled in the third innings and singled in the tenth innings.

Nate Blackham had a hot bat for the Corvallis Knights. Blackham went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and tenth innings.

Taylor Starr pitched lights out for the Corvallis Knights. The Bellingham Bells managed just one hit off of Starr, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Greg Mahle got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Mahle struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Karl Myers (1-2) took the loss for the Bellingham Bells. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
