Arturo Reyes did his part on the hill, but it wasn't enough to carry the Walla Walla Sweets (7-13) to a win on Tuesday, as the Walla Walla Sweets fell to the Bend Elks (9-9) 1-0 at Borleske Stadium.
Reyes allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out seven over nine innings of work.
Daniel Chavez pitched lights out for the Bend Elks. Chavez held the Walla Walla Sweets hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Reyes (2-1) took the loss for the Walla Walla Sweets.
