The Kelowna Falcons (7-5) failed to take advantage of Kyle Pearson's effort at the plate on Tuesday, losing 15-12 to the Walla Walla Sweets (4-9) at Elks Stadium.
Pearson racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Kelowna Falcons. He homered in the third and seventh innings and tripled in the ninth inning.
The two teams combined for 27 runs and 33 hits, including zero extra base hits. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were seven pitchers used in the game.
Kris Paulino got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the second and eighth innings.
Arturo Reyes got his second win for the Walla Walla Sweets despite allowing eight runs over six innings. Reyes struck out one, walked three and gave up nine hits.
Juan Padilla (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
J.J. Robinson, Chance Kopacz, Paulino and Kalani Brackenridge helped lead the Walla Walla Sweets. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.
