The Corvallis Knights (13-4) beat the Cowlitz Black Bears (4-10) 11-5 on Tuesday thanks to a four-run eighth inning.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Corvallis Knights took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. A sacrifice fly by Austin Barr scored Nate Blackham and gave the Corvallis Knights the lead for good.

Nick Torres racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Corvallis Knights. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and eighth innings.

Brandon Jackson put together a nice outing. Jackson held the Cowlitz Black Bears hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Kyle Hart improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Corvallis Knights. He allowed two runs over three innings. Hart struck out two, walked none and gave up five hits.

Taylor Williams couldn't get it done on the hill for the Cowlitz Black Bears, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
