Dallas Hessler brought home the go-ahead run to give the Kitsap BlueJackets (2-0) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Kitsap BlueJackets hung on to beat the Cowlitz Black Bears (0-2) 7-6 on Saturday.
After Tyler Baumgartner was hit by a pitch, Hessler singled, bringing home Baumgartner and Baumgartner.Hessler racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Kitsap BlueJackets. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Kitsap BlueJackets would not relinquish the lead as the Cowlitz Black Bears were unable to weather a five-run eighth inning deficit.
