The Kansas Cannons (2-0) jumped out to an early lead on the Action Baseball- Austin, TX (1-1) and captured a 17-5 victory on Monday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Kansas Cannons left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Colin Nevil during the first inning and an RBI single by Jacob Hamerle, an RBI single by Nate Crossman, a hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly by Bligh Madris, and a single by Nevil in the second inning helped the Kansas Cannons put some runs on the board early.

Crossman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Kansas Cannons.

Tristan Alkis racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Action Baseball- Austin, TX. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Even though AJ Landis allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Landis struck out five, walked three and gave up seven hits.

Luka Green ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
