Brian Moore collected three hits, helping the Lake Norman Copperheads (15-25) to an 8-4 victory over the Concord Weavers (13-27) on Monday at Hough High School.
He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.Nicholas Leon put together a nice outing. The Concord Weavers managed just three hits off of Leon, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Matthew Freeman (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
