Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the RR Construction (6-9) outscored the Mudville (5-8) 13-9.

The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.

Nick Coro reached base five times. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the first, second, and eighth innings.

The Mudville were led by Brady Chant's hitting. Chant went 3-6, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.

Chris Paiva improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the RR Construction. He allowed three runs over 2 1/3 innings. Paiva struck out five, walked four and gave up two hits.

James Smith (0-2) took the loss for the Mudville. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The RR Construction hammered the Mudville pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
