Chris Paiva improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the RR Construction. He allowed three runs over 2 1/3 innings. Paiva struck out five, walked four and gave up two hits.
James Smith (0-2) took the loss for the Mudville. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The RR Construction hammered the Mudville pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
