The Victor RailRiders (23-25) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Utica Blue Sox (31-17), recording a 9-2 victory on Tuesday at Victor High School.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the Victor RailRiders to put the game away early.

A sacrifice fly by Adam Genners, an error, a single by Robert Depp, , and a single by John Conti during the second inning fueled the Victor RailRiders' offense early.

Jack Zagaja got on base three times in the game for the Victor RailRiders. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Utica Blue Sox's Mitchell Clandra. Clandra went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first innings and singled in the third and fourth innings.

Jake Casey recorded his third win of the year for the Victor RailRiders. He allowed two runs over six innings. Casey struck out one, walked five and gave up five hits.

Gus Varland was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
