Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Coral Springs Royals (10-17) outscored the Pompano Beach Clippers (18-8) 10-8.

Zach Jones racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Coral Springs Royals. He doubled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Kyle Simon reached base three times in the game for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Justin Walker pitched lights out for the Pompano Beach Clippers. Walker held the Coral Springs Royals hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Kyle Morgan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Coral Springs Royals. He allowed three runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Sam Boies (0-2) took the loss for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
