Malachi Hanes went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the SBA Bones (27-12) to a 5-4 victory over the Carolina Vipers (23-14) on Friday at Charlotte Christian.
He homered in the fourth inning.Andrew Vaccacio pitched lights out for the SBA Bones. The Carolina Vipers managed just two hits off of the the SBA Bones' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out seven during his four innings of work.
Bradley Brown was solid at the plate for the Carolina Vipers. Brown went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Jonathan Koletic got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Koletic struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
