The Team Charlotte (5-21) and the Carolina Vipers (17-8) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Team Charlotte that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at East Mecklenburg High School.

The fact that the Team Charlotte grouped all of their runs into the fifth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Cameron Hudson-MARSHALL racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Team Charlotte. He homered in the fifth inning.

Alex Baratta racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Carolina Vipers. He homered in the seventh inning.

Logan Redmond recorded his first win of the year for the Team Charlotte. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Dunning was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
