The Worcester Bravehearts (18-8) beat the Bristol Blues (13-14) 2-1 in eight innings on Monday at Muzzy Field behind Chad Miller, who went 2-3.
He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.Eric Close got the win for the Worcester Bravehearts thanks to nine strikeouts. Close allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.
Jared Gallagher allowed no earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Gallagher couldn't get it done on the hill for the Bristol Blues, taking a loss.
