The Jamestown Jammers third-inning burst enough to top the Geneva Red Wings, 11-5

A six-run explosion in the third inning carried the Jamestown Jammers (11-10) to an 11-5 win over the Geneva Red Wings (6-14) at Diethrick Park on Saturday.

The Jamestown Jammers scored in the third on a two-run double by Ben Brookover, an RBI double by CJ Pickering, an RBI double by Aidan McDermott, a sacrifice fly by Christ Conley, and an RBI single by Scott Braren.

Brookover racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Jamestown Jammers.

Alex Gionis was hot from the plate for the Geneva Red Wings. Gionis went 2-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Bradley Griggs recorded his first win of the year for the Jamestown Jammers. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Conor Russell (0-2) took the loss for the Geneva Red Wings. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
