A superb effort by Grant St. Martin spurred the Top Speed Baseball (14-1) to a 15-6 win over the San Francisco Seagulls (9-7) on Sunday at Drake High.
St. Martin blasted two home runs for the Top Speed Baseball. St. Martin went 5-5 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. St. Martin homered in the fifth and eighth innings.
The biggest inning for the Top Speed Baseball was the fifth. In the inning the Top Speed Baseball scored eight runs. The Top Speed Baseball scored in the fifth on a two-run home run by Matthew Minnick, a solo home run by Matthew Martinez, a solo home run by St. Martin, and a home run by Matthew Tarantino.
Jake Ryan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the San Francisco Seagulls. He homered in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Mario Morales got his second win for the Top Speed Baseball despite allowing five runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered six hits.
Josh Eclavea was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked none and struck out none.
