The Sacramento Heat (6-7) beat the San Francisco Seagulls (8-5) 12-2 on Wednesday at Sacramento St. after a seven-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Sacramento Heat scored in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Guillermo Salazar, a single by Jackson Murphy, a double by Jake Doty, a single by Jordan Zaragoza, a solo home run by Easton Vidales, an RBI single by Chris Roppolo, an RBI single by Michael Shoenberger, a single by Shoenberger, and an RBI single by Shoenberger.

Vidales racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Sacramento Heat.

Donnie Gardiner struck out seven hitters en route to the the Sacramento Heat win. Gardiner allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.

Joe Pratt was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.
