JD Huggins clubbed two home runs to carry the Lake Norman Copperheads (1-5) to a 10-1 win over the Team Charlotte (2-3) at East Mecklenburg High School in seven innings.

The Lake Norman Copperheads continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Lake Norman Copperheads scored three runs in the last one innings to finish off the blowout win. A three-run home run by Huggins helped the Lake Norman Copperheads score three runs in the seventh. The Lake Norman Copperheads had three hits in the inning.

John Todd brought the heat against the Team Charlotte during his outing. The Team Charlotte managed just two hits off of Todd, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his seven innings of work.

Jerod Jobst was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Lake Norman Copperheads batters and allowing three runs.

Jacob Ruettgers (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked one and struck out none.
