An outstanding effort by Dylan Gerdts lifted the Utica Blue Sox (23-11) to a 4-0 win in seven innings over the Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-26) on Wednesday at Donavan Stadium.
Gerdts had an impressive outing against the Adirondack Trail Blazers' lineup. The Adirondack Trail Blazers managed just one hit off of Gerdts, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his six innings of work.
Joe Spitaleri was solid at the plate for the Utica Blue Sox. Spitaleri went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Josh Partridge was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
