Brendan Welch held the Glens Falls Dragons (5-16) scoreless for 5 2/3 innings to boost the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (11-10) to a 5-3 victory.

Welch struck out two and allowed one walk and two hits.

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs were led by a flawless day at the dish by Sean Mazzio, who went 3-3 against the Glens Falls Dragons' pitching. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Joe Jones (1-2) took the loss for the Glens Falls Dragons. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
