The Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-2) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Brooks Bombers (1-7), recording a 14-6 victory on Sunday.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the Medicine Hat Mavericks to put the game away early.

A two-run double by Zac Wilson, an RBI single by Logan Bima, an RBI double by Mark Walton, a two-run double by Walton, and an RBI single by William Salas during the first inning and and an RBI single by Anthony Calton in the second inning fueled the Medicine Hat Mavericks' offense early.

Wilson had two extra-base hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Talon Kunkel pitched lights out for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Kunkel held the Brooks Bombers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Dynas Doud got on base three times in the game for the Brooks Bombers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the eighth inning.

Jared Libke recorded his second win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered four hits.

Branden Redfern (0-1) took the loss for the Brooks Bombers. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked one and struck out two.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks hammered the Brooks Bombers pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, seven RBIs and 12 runs scored.
