Simmons allows no runs to lead the Jamestown Jammers past the Geneva Red Wings 4-2

Steve Simmons held the Geneva Red Wings (9-37) scoreless for six innings to boost the Jamestown Jammers (27-20) to a 4-2 victory.

Simmons struck out three and allowed one walk and five hits.

CJ Pickering paced the Jamestown Jammers at the plate. Pickering went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Patrick Connor put together a nice outing. The Jamestown Jammers managed just one hit off of Connor, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Dalton Reed (3-6) took the loss for the Geneva Red Wings. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
