The Newark Pilots (25-20) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (23-17) on Sunday.

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs took the lead in the fourth inning on a three-run home run by Drew Arciuolo.

Arciuolo racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.

Colin Bohnert brought the heat against the Newark Pilots during his outing. The Newark Pilots managed just one hit off of Bohnert, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Tysen Fischlin pitched lights out for the Newark Pilots. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs managed just one hit off of the the Newark Pilots' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Spencer Bunting got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Bunting struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

Ryan Wesson (3-2) took the loss for the Newark Pilots. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
