The Newark Pilots (24-19) didn't stand a chance on Friday, as the Elmira Pioneers (29-11) captured a blowout 9-2 win at Dunn Field.

The Elmira Pioneers scored three runs in the sixth on the Elmira Pioneers scored in the sixth on an RBI double by Lucas Denney and a two-run single by Phil Madonna.

Denney racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Elmira Pioneers.

Elliot Lance put together a nice outing. Lance gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Quinton Logan couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Newark Pilots, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked seven and struck out one.
