Chris Givin went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Amsterdam Mohawks (28-13) took home a 5-3 victory over the Glens Falls Dragons (14-23) at Shuttleworth Park on Thursday.
He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.The Glens Falls Dragons had no answer for Tim Naughton, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Naughton held the Glens Falls Dragons hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Mike Bonaiuto got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. Bonaiuto struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.
Bryan Warzek (1-3) took the loss for the Glens Falls Dragons. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
