The Albany Dutchmen (20-18) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 7-2 ballgame against the Amsterdam Mohawks (27-12) on Monday at Shuttleworth Park.
While the Albany Dutchmen led until the sixth inning, the Amsterdam Mohawks worked their way back and took the lead on a three-run home run by Joe Genord.
Genord racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He homered in the sixth inning.
Cameron Enck picked up the win for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Enck allowed no earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Jack Grabek (3-2) took the loss for the Albany Dutchmen. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
