Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Jamestown Jammers, 17-4

The Jamestown Jammers (26-20) beat the Victor RailRiders 17-4 on Wednesday at Victor High School after a nine-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Jamestown Jammers scored in the fourth on a solo home run by Scott Braren, a sacrifice fly by Luke Tevlin, a three-run home run by Christ Conley, a three-run error, and an RBI single by Hunter Jones.

Conley racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Jamestown Jammers.

Steve Simmons kept contact to a minimum, striking out five the Victor RailRiders (22-23) batters. Simmons allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over six innings.

Jack Zagaja racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Victor RailRiders. He homered in the eighth inning.

Jake Hewitt was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Jamestown Jammers pounded the Victor RailRiders pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
