The Utica Blue Sox escape the Victor RailRiders behind Klingensmith's 8 strikeouts, 3-2

A great effort by Michael Klingensmith lifted the Utica Blue Sox (26-13) to a 3-2 win in 10 innings over the Victor RailRiders (18-18) on Saturday at Donovan Stadium.

Klingensmith kept the Victor RailRiders off the board during his eight innings of work. Klingensmith allowed two hits, two walks and struck out eight.

Brennen Smith held the Utica Blue Sox scoreless for eight innings. Smith struck out five and allowed four walks and three hits.

A walk-off single by Kyle Winkler gave the Utica Blue Sox the win.

It was a good day at the plate for the Utica Blue Sox's Winkler. Winkler went 2-5 and drove in one. He singled in the second and tenth innings.

Bear Bellomy recorded his second win of the year for the Utica Blue Sox. He allowed two runs over two innings. Bellomy struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.

Hudsen Hagland (0-1) took the loss for the Victor RailRiders. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
