The Amsterdam Mohawks outlast the Saugerties Stallions in high-scoring affair, 14-10

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Amsterdam Mohawks (26-11) outscored the Saugerties Stallions (11-24) 14-10.

The teams totaled 32 hits in the game.

Chris Givin racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, third, and eighth innings.

Michael Pfenniger was hot from the plate for the Saugerties Stallions. Pfenniger went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Ben Collincini improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Collincini struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Andrew Workman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Saugerties Stallions, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
