Tristen Carranza went 2-3 as the Amsterdam Mohawks (25-11) took home a 4-2 victory over the Saugerties Stallions (11-23) in seven innings at Shuttleworth Park on Friday.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.Chase Haney had an impressive outing against the Saugerties Stallions' lineup. Haney held the Saugerties Stallions hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Tim Naughton improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Amsterdam Mohawks. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Collin Duffley couldn't get it done on the hill for the Saugerties Stallions, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
