The Albany Dutchmen (15-15) beat the Saugerties Stallions (10-17) 4-0 on Tuesday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field behind Justin Childers, who went 2-4.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.Cooper Jones had an impressive outing against the Saugerties Stallions' lineup. The Saugerties Stallions managed just one hit off of the the Albany Dutchmen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Benjamin Contento brought the heat against the Albany Dutchmen during his outing. Contento held the Albany Dutchmen hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Nate Popiel was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
