It took 10 innings, but the Elmira Pioneers (15-9) managed to put away the Newark Pilots (16-10) 5-4 on Wednesday at Colburn Park.

With the score tied at four in the tenth inning, Rob Perteet came to the plate and singled, bringing home Blake Buckman.

Brian Kelly racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Elmira Pioneers. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Parker Caracci brought the heat against the Newark Pilots during his outing. Caracci held the Newark Pilots hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Brian Dolan was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
