Both the Utica Blue Sox (15-5) and the Elmira Pioneers (13-8) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Utica Blue Sox that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-5 win at Dunn Field.

Taylor Olmstead went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Utica Blue Sox. He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

The Elmira Pioneers couldn't get anything going as long as Ryan Green was pitching. The Elmira Pioneers managed just one hit off of Green, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Storm Wilson got a hit in each of his four at bats. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Kyle Stuart was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
