Skeels helps the Albany Dutchmen down the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 4-2

The Albany Dutchmen (11-8) beat the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (10-10) 4-2 on Saturday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field behind Kyle Skeels, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Jackson Bubala put together a nice outing. Bubala held the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

It was a good day at the plate for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs' Drew Arciuolo. Arciuolo went 2-5 and drove in one. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Joe Pokrentowski improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Albany Dutchmen. Pokrentowski struck out two, walked three and gave up one hit.

David Palmer couldn't get it done on the hill for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
