Joe Genord had two extra base hits, helping the Amsterdam Mohawks (12-6) to a 4-3 victory over the Adirondack Trail Blazers (4-14) on Thursday at Shuttleworth Park.

Griffin Roberts handled the Adirondack Trail Blazers' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Roberts allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over six innings.

Chase Haney got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over two innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Don McWreath was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The Amsterdam Mohawks were sparked by Chris LaVorgna and Genord, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.
