Tanner Leenknecht went 2-3 as the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (8-8) took home a 3-2 victory over the Oneonta Outlaws (11-5) at Veterans Memorial Park on Wednesday.
He singled in the third and sixth innings.Joe DeSarro picked up the win for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. DeSarro pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out four.
It was a good day at the plate for the Oneonta Outlaws' Reed Massey. Massey went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.
Josh Covey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
