The Glens Falls Dragons drop the Albany Dutchmen 7-3 behind Knightes' early double

Four first-inning runs helped the Glens Falls Dragons (5-16) to a 7-3 win over the Albany Dutchmen (11-12) at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field on Tuesday.

The Glens Falls Dragons scored in the first on an RBI double by Robbie Knightes, an RBI double by Ryan Hooper, and a two-run single by Dan Lowndes.

Hooper had two extra-base hits for the Glens Falls Dragons.

Matt Stojkov pitched lights out for the Glens Falls Dragons. The Albany Dutchmen managed just two hits off of the the Glens Falls Dragons' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Albany Dutchmen's Nick Silber dominated the Glens Falls Dragons' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Drue Brooks recorded his first win of the year for the Glens Falls Dragons. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Jared Gold was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Glens Falls Dragons were sparked by Hooper and Hunter Szaflarski, who teamed up for eight hits and four RBIs.
