A six-run explosion in the eighth inning lifted the Amsterdam Mohawks (25-11) to a 9-1 win over the Saugerties Stallions at Shuttleworth Park on Tuesday.

Genord racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Amsterdam Mohawks.
Tim Herrin brought the heat against the Saugerties Stallions (11-23) during his outing. The Saugerties Stallions managed just two hits off of Herrin, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his six innings of work.
Andrew Workman (4-1) took the loss for the Saugerties Stallions. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
