The Utica Blue Sox make the most of 6 hits in 3-2 victory over the Albany Dutchmen

Both the Utica Blue Sox (9-5) and the Albany Dutchmen (7-5) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Utica Blue Sox that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.

Despite the loss, the Albany Dutchmen's Evan Giles dominated the Utica Blue Sox's batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

Dylan Gerdts got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. Gerdts struck out three, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Drew Robertson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
