The Elmira Pioneers (7-4) beat the Geneva Red Wings (4-7) 8-6 on Tuesday at Dunn Field behind Zeke Isaiah, who went 4-4 at the plate.

Zack Helsel pitched lights out for the Elmira Pioneers. Helsel held the Geneva Red Wings hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

The Geneva Red Wings were led by Drake Sykes's hitting. Sykes went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Spencer Kulman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Kulman struck out four, walked five and gave up four hits.

Tom Sutera (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
