Tyler Ungerland collected three hits, helping the Amsterdam Mohawks (8-5) to a 7-5 victory over the Albany Dutchmen (7-5) on Wednesday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.
He singled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings.Mike Bonaiuto put together a nice outing. The Albany Dutchmen managed just one hit off of Bonaiuto, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Derek Balbierz improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Balbierz struck out three, walked three and gave up one hit.
Jackson Bubala (1-2) took the loss for the Albany Dutchmen. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.
