The Elmira Pioneers (13-7) jumped out to an early lead on the Jamestown Jammers (10-10) and captured a 16-6 victory on Saturday at Dunn Field.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Elmira Pioneers to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Rob Perteet, an error, , and a two-run single by Joe Preziuso during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Elmira Pioneers.

Preziuso racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Elmira Pioneers.

Taylor Ahearn picked up the win for the Elmira Pioneers. Ahearn pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out one.

CJ Pickering was hot from the plate for the Jamestown Jammers. Pickering went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
