Justin Childers went 2-3 as the Albany Dutchmen (2-1) took home a 3-2 victory over the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (0-4) at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday.

Jack Grabek handled the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Grabek allowed one earned run, two hits and two walks over six innings.

Anthony Rupp brought the heat against the Albany Dutchmen during his outing. The Albany Dutchmen managed just two hits off of Rupp, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Michael Maul improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Albany Dutchmen. Maul struck out none, walked two and gave up no hits.

Shane Reardon (0-1) took the loss for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
