The Jamestown Jammers outdone by Owen and the Newark Pilots, 3-2

Acy Owen went 1-1 as the Newark Pilots (9-4) took home a 3-2 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (4-7) at Diethrick Park on Wednesday.

He singled in the eighth inning.

Quinton Logan had an impressive outing against the Jamestown Jammers' lineup. The Jamestown Jammers managed just two hits off of Logan, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Jamestown Jammers' Chris Vallimont dominated the Newark Pilots' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Xan Reese recorded his second win of the year for the Newark Pilots. He allowed two runs over three innings. Reese struck out five, walked three and gave up one hit.

Danny Naif ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
